An affliction is a condition in which a person is physically, psychologically, or morally impaired. More specifically, the word may refer to: -Any person who has an impairment that does not exceed the constitutional limits of social disability -A medical condition that causes neurological damage or physical pain and distress. It can be the result of injury such as a car accident, multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, heart attack or cancer; it can also be due to chronic illness such as cerebral palsy and epilepsy. -A psychiatric disorder in which people experience mental issues such as hallucinations and delusions. -A type of cancer. -A secret or forbidden love.
